Merry Christmas!

This year's Christmas card, after worrying I was not going to have the time to do one I had a moment of collage madness and out popped the robin!

Apologies for my bare blog, I have been working full time and training in new things outside of that. But the training is almost over, and it's time to get the pens, paper and inks back out in 2013!

Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!

Thank you x

This is a Thank You x

...Two weeks and one day...

Rather delayed....but this is the image I put together for our wedding invitations....

Roll on 11th May!

Where is my mind?

Apologies for my long absence, I've only just (about 2 minutes ago) realised I haven't uploaded anything of interest on here in far too long!

At the moment I am up to the eyeballs in planning my wedding, and above are the workings on my own wedding invitations. Ignore the retro film effect as that's not at all what I intend for the invites....my printer chose to break and my PC has been relocated to the front room away from the scanner....I blog to you now from my 32 inch LED television ;)

Riding the White Elephant?

Here is my submission for White Elephant Clothing, although we are awaiting some minor additions before it can be put to print, but fingers crossed!

A new direction

Well I have been getting into a series called Deadly Art on BBC iPlayer, and picked up a nice (but overlooked) technique, and I have decided to play around with it......and this is just the beginning!

Messing around with Crayola crayons and Quink!

It's the way forwards!

Out of the gloom...

I apologise for the distinct lack of activity over the last few months, I don't think it's quite fair to say that I hit a creative block, more that I feel into a gloomier place that only allowed room for my day job and certain stresses.

But I am crossing my fingers now for the warmer weather and I have kick started 2011 (all be it a bit late) with this random deep sea, submarine pink fish idea splat.

Cold and dark...

Succumbing to the Christmas countdown...

And so I've finally started working on Christmas card ideas....

....Fights and Dreams....

Floating ideas.......Siamese fighting fish.

Long time.......no posts.

I'm sorry there's been such a long gap from me, what with moving house and other priorities I have only just set up the room I intend to do my art-working in, so here I start in the new house with a birthday commission :)

The final squeeze...

The final piece going forward for the CD silk for Josie and the Lovecats new EP ' My Heart's an Idiot'.

Another tight squeeze...

Furthering the idea.

Squeeze me.

I am back on commission again for another CD silk for local band Josie and the Lovecats, who are preparing for a long summer of festival loving, and will shortly be releasing a new EP under the name 'My Heart's an Idiot'.

These are my roughs so far for the CD silk.

The owl-shoe adventure

These were created for my dear friend Saira, as she has gone on a two month gardening adventure.....so now she has something to remember me by ;)

Five Years....and my first shoe adventure!

My first dab at drawing/painting on footwear, they are artworks by Stanley Donwood who has done much of Radiohead's artwork, I am not claiming any credit for the designs, and these are a one off for my significant other to celebrate our anniversay :)

Enjoy!

Sun'doodle'day's owls...

Pinkerton owl

Blue 'n' reddy

 Reddy steady go!

 Little grey...

This one went a bit 'gremlin'
