Christmas card design 2009

Well here it is.....Christmas 2009

I think I've 'crackered' it!

Right I think I have cracked it, I think the gold pen brings out a lot more to the tree than the yellow trials before, and I think sticking to two colours is working, very tempted by the gold and dark red......what do we think?

Trying to find the solution...

Well I had gotten into the festive spirit, and really wanted to move forwards today, but I've been suffering the most painful headache all day, and it's hindering me now :(

but here are my efforts.....I still prefer the tree on my last post, so next manouvre is to print that out a few times and havea  fiddle ;)

I may be getting closer.....

Ok I may be getting closer with my xmas card design now, infact I'm tempted to use this as it is......hmmmmm?!

Still trying to get in the right mood....

And still failing at the moment, I've even been into town to look at other Christmas cards, although I think that hinders rather than helps....boo!

 

The whole picture...

A bit of a wonky tree.....I was going to draw more today, but after a bad experience yesterday I'm not really in the right place for Christmas....although that having been said.....I still have 2 weeks before I need to get some of these cards posted.

Not a drawing....but something i firmly believe in cropped up in the latest Varoom magazine....

It's looking asthough my xmas card design will definately be involving trees this year, they seem to just be working *fingers crossed*

Yeah....

A little early for me...

But for the sake that I must sort out my own Christmas cards, then the festive spirit has to be embraced......I'll be warmer to it next week though, I can't believe it's nearly December!

The wind is howling and the rain is lashing at the window....

I wanted to do something with rain, but I haven't found any ideas to fall in love with yet......and so I will just put yesterdays picture to shame....

It has to start somewhere....

And so it has started here, with some scribbles, unusually for me a bit of colour, and a silhouette theme I am hoping will take me through to Christmas.........welcome.
